  14. <p>    DIED. Timoci Bavadra, 55, Prime Minister of Fiji ousted by
  15. a military coup in May 1987; of cancer; in Viseisei. As Fijian
  16. head of the Indian-dominated Labor Party, Bavadra had been in
  17. office only a month before Lieut. Colonel Sitiveni Rabuka led
  18. an army takeover of the government. Fiji is drafting a
  19. constitution that will bar Indians from running the government,
  20. although they outnumber ethnic Fijians.
